Can’t wait for my .net subscription to arrive!
I just love a bargain
I've been a subscriber to .Net magazine in the past and have found it a great resource. That’s why I’m so excited about renewing my subscription and about their latest offer.
At the moment .Net are offering a discount (42%) along with a USB stick containing pdfs of 30 back issues. I think this is a great idea, and a cost-effective one.
But is there a market for web design magazines?
Yes!
Whilst most of my research and learning still happens online, it’s been great for widening my field of view, and let’s face it, there’s something very appealing about printed material that the web can never quite capture. My first love-affair was with paper and scissors, not the screen.
However with 30 back issues on pdf, I don’t even have to choose between these two mediums. I can have both!
I guess I’ll go wait by my letterbox…

This did not live up to its promise. The quality of images on the pdfs were so low as to make them illegible.
This was definitely an opportunity missed by .net magazine.
